Hopewell Industries began in 1965 and by August of 1971 was in operation in a room rented from Tom Sutton on Walnut Street with 7 employees and two staff members.
In January 1972 - Hopewell Industries, Inc. was incorporated as a 501(3) C non-profit organization and by September of 1972 the number of employees had grown to 14.
In 1985 with funds left from the building of Hopewell School, the workshop moved into the corner of Seventh and Chestnut Streets. By 1993 the new addition to the workshop was completed.
In 2007 Hopewell Industries, Inc. took a small step and hired its first director. - Jamie Rice.
In 2010 Hopewell Industries, Inc. became a provider of Medicaid services offering homemaker/personal care, transportation and non-medical transportation, adult day services, community enclave work opportunities and much more.
In 2013 Hopewell Industries, Inc journey through "privatization" with the Coshocton County Board of Developmental Disabilities. Hopewell Industries is a community partner and provider of services for the Coshocton County Board of Developmental Disabilities.
In 2014, Hopewell Industries formed an Alliance with LICCO, Incorporated which is located in Licking County and in 2016 Muskingum Starlight Industries joined the Alliance.
